experience in the analysis and design of new construction and for strengthening and remodeling of existing building structures. All three have at least a Master's Degree in Engineering, and all three
have the highest structural engineering certification level that the State of California bestows.
Urfer and Associates has extensive experience working on public school projects and dealing with the Division of the State Architect (DSA). We have provided the

In addition to primary and secondary schools, our firm has worked on numerous local University and College projects. At UC Santa Cruz, projects include dormitories,
facility offices, the Arboretum, the Plaster Studio, facility housing, and the Applied Sciences Building remodel. At CSU Monterey Bay we provided the structural retrofit design for the three-story
concrete and masonry dormitory building, various classroom buildings, the Dining Hall, and the Public Service building. At Cabrillo College we designed the Photography Lab, the Learning Resource
Center, the Child Care facility, and the Horticulture Center. In addition, we have done miscellaneous projects at other Monterey Bay area colleges including Monterey Peninsula College, the Naval
Postgraduate School in Monterey, and Hartnell College in Salinas.
Over the years, our firm has been involved in a number of unique projects requiring unusual and innovative structural solutions. We have provided all structural

design of the new Plunge building; the foundations for the Hurricane, Jetstar, Typhoon, Double Shot, Explorer, and Undertow rides; and their new office building across the street. We also provide
structural engineering services for most exhibits and remodel work at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. In addition, we have worked on a number of miscellaneous ocean front projects, including the
strengthening and seismic upgrade of portions of the Santa Cruz Wharf; the design of several of the commercial structures atop the wharf; sea walls; and sea cave plugs. In a more historical vein, we
have recently provided structural analysis for the seismic retrofit of several area missions, including the Carmel Mission complex and Mission San Juan Bautista.
